Sicily’s Book Corner

Hi! Welcome to the 4th article of Sicily’s Book corner. I hope you liked my previous articles, and if not, I hope you like this one.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone, Book 1

Author: J.K. Rowling

4.8 stars out of 5. I think this book deserves a 4.8 star rating. Now, I know a lot of you have probably read this book already, but I wanted to add it on the list for people who haven’t read it. Some of the people who haven’t read the book haven’t read it because it’s popular and they don’t want to read popular things. And, well, yes it’s popular, but it’s popular for a good reason. It’s a really fun and entertaining story to read. It has magic, witches and wizards, mythical creatures, and a good amount of comedy. All of the characters have a lot of depth, and when something bad happens you really feel for them. I suggest you at least read the book and give it a try.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, Book 1

Author: Jeff Kinney

4.8 stars out of 5. I think this book deserves a 4.8 star rating. Most of the books I put on this list are fantasy, science fiction type books. And most of the time they are pretty long. But this book is different, it’s a comedy type book. Most of the time I find these types of books boring and uninteresting, just because I don’t usually find them funny. This book, however, had me laugh out loud several times. It’s really funny and just a nice and quick book to read if you need a pick me up. (Although I recommend you read it alone because when I was reading it my parents gave me questioning looks every time I laughed out loud, and I laughed out loud a lot.)

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow, Book 1

Author: Jessica Townsend

4.7 stars out of 5. I think the book definitely deserves a 4.7 star rating. If you like books where the main character is overpowered then I think you’ll like this book. This book is the classic tale of the main character supposedly being “cursed” and not only gets blamed for every bad thing that happens, but her family hates her. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, she’s supposed to die on her 11th birthday at midnight. Yeah, life is pretty horrible for her, but it’ll get better. On the night of her 11th birthday she gets whisked away to a new, wonderful place. I think that people who like adventure stories will like this book. Even if you don’t think you’ll like it, I recommend you give it a try.
