Sicily’s Book Corner

Hello! Welcome to the 5th article of Sicily’s Book Corner. I hope you enjoy it!

The Dragonet Prophecy, Wings of Fire Book 1

Author: Tul T. Sutherland

4.8 stars out of 5. I think this book deserves this rating. If you like books about dragons, I think you should read this book. If you like books about prophecies, then I think you should give this book a try because almost everything in the book is based off of the prophecy. There are also multiple main characters in this book, and you switch between their different perspectives. After the first 5 books in this series there’s another series that picks up a couple years later. Although there are different main characters now, you will see the old one’s sometimes! I think that if you read this series you should give that one a try as well.

Sky Raiders, Five Kingdoms Book 1

Author: Brandon Mull

4.7 stars out of 5. I think this book deserves this rating. This book is about a boy who on Halloween gets transported to another world. Now I know what you’re thinking, but this book isn’t a LitRPG book, this isn’t a video game world and there aren’t any stats or anything like that. This book does have monsters and magic (In the book, magic is called “shaping”), but it isn’t a LitRPG book. I think you should give this book a try. Also, I’m not trying to give away too much of the story but if you like main characters who are overpowered I think you should read this series.

The Losers Club

Author: Andrew Clements

4.7 stars out of 5. I think the book definitely deserves this rating. Now I know this isn’t like me, usually I do books about fantasy or science fiction, or at the very least a series, but this isn’t any of those. I wanted to put a different type of book in this list. The Losers Club is about a boy named Alec who loves to read. He is almost always alone and doesn’t have any friends. Alec loves to read so much that he actually gets in trouble often with the teachers and has a very long detention record. His grades aren’t doing well either. And, naturally, he has a rival/bully in his life. I understand that your parents might be hesitant to let you read a book that’s called the losers club, but it’s actually a really good book and there’s nothing to worry about. If you read the book you’ll know why it’s called that. This book is realistic fiction.
