Suelo Reviews: The Nintendo Switch!

Consuelo Carlson-DeBoo, Administrator, Writer.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Suelo Reviews! You may have noticed I haven’t published in a while. Well, here I am. Publishing (woo hoo!) Today I will be talking about the one. The only…. Nintendo Switch. That’s right people! I will be reviewing one of Nintedo’s most popular gaming systems. EVER. So Ladies and Gentlemen, sit back, and enjoy the show.

So, first of all. The Nintendo Switch was WAY more popular when it first came out. You may be wondering WHY it isn’t as popular anymore. Well, It’s all because of Sony and Microsoft. You see, Microsoft (X-Box) recently came out with a trash can that you can play games on. And Sony (Playstation) recently came out with something that looks like it’s from Alien VS. Predator, that you can play games on. So, when these two excuses of video game consoles came out, Nintendo dropped lower down the food-chain. But Nintendo fans are hoping Nintendo will come out with something new to bring them back up. Anyways, I’m done with that. NOW I will talk about the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch is kind of a remodel of the Wii U. If you have no clue what the Wii U is, it was basically a Wii system but with the letter U at the end of it. And it was handheld. If you have NO idea what I’m talking about, read my Wii article. Okay, so, the day that the Nintendo Switch came out, March 3rd 2017, was just like when a new iPhone comes out. Lines of hundreds of people were waiting outside stores such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Game Stop. Everybody was so excited for a portable Nintendo gaming system that doesn’t have the words ‘DS’ or ‘XL’ in the name.

So, they also had this thing called the Switch Lite, which was basically as good as Microsoft’s (X-box) trash can. The reason that it is equivalent to a big, black box is: You can’t hook it up to the TV. So, the Switch Lite is perfect for you if you are always on the go. If you are always on the bus, or in carpool, then this is great. But, if you just play it at home, then it’s terrible. The screen is 5.5 inches, while a regular Nintendo Switch’s screen is 6.2 inches. That might not seem like a lot, but that is a HUGE difference. The other reason it is equivalent to a big, black box is: You can’t detach the Joy Cons. So, if you have NO IDEA what a ‘Joy Con’ is, it’s the Nintendo Switch’s controllers. On the Nintendo Switch, you could detach them and play with friends. But on the Switch Lite, you are forced to play by yourself. ALL THE TIME.

Nintendo fans are excited because their prayers have been answered. Nintendo is coming out with a system called the Nintendo Switch Pro. So, you might be wondering why is it called a Pro? Well, the answer to that is: The Nintendo Switch Pro will have better screen quality, better gaming experience, and, to top it all off, it has some AI technology built into it. So basically this Nintendo system is for gamers who want more of an experience to the game(s) they play.

Thanks for reading my article everyone! I hope you all have a good day. I also want you to know that I have nothing against Microsoft (X-box) and Sony (PlayStation). Just, their  recent consoles could use WAY better designs. Well, that’s it for today, everyone. I’ll see you next time on Suelo Reviews!
