“people who view such movies become desensitized to violence”

True crime has become one of the most popular genres worldwide, but how does it affect us?

I was watching a true crime documentary about a murder robbery, my friend, whom I was watching it with, turned to me and that mentioned that it wasn’t very scary and although I agreed, it got me thinking about how desensitized to gore me and the people around me have become, why is that?

Well perhaps when you read or watch something that scares and disturbs you then you might have the desire to find something scarier, and the more you do that the harder it becomes to top it.

Because of this true crime may begin to bore you because you can’t find something scary enough.

On the other hand being desensitized to gore could make it so you don’t get as queasy or scared as easily.

If you have any tips for avoiding boredom, post a comment!
