How long have you been teaching or working in the school system?

14 years total, 3 years at BTM.

What made you want to be a teacher, administrator, counselor, para, nurse, or other staff?

I struggled in school, so I wanted to be able to help kids learn.

What has kept you going in education?

Seeing my students learn and be excited about learning.

What is your favorite thing about teaching or working in the school system?

Getting to know the students.

If you are a teacher, is the subject you teach your favorite subject?

Yes, I think it is.

If you’re a teacher, did you enjoy the subject you teach right now when you were a kid?

Yes. I never took art in school, but I am sure I would have loved it. I did take Home Economics and really enjoyed it, which is kind of like the Chef classes.

What do you like to do outside of school?

Spend time with my family playing games; traveling, especially to Disneyland. I like to crochet and read.

Any fun facts or talents that students might think is fun, cool, or interesting?!

I raced ATVs as a kid. I danced ballet from the time I was 3 years old until I was 16.
